The New Mexico Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (NMIAAI) is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing fire investigators, fire officers, forensic professionals, and fire service leaders from across New Mexico. Our leadership team is committed to advancing the science of fire investigation through training, certification, professional development, and collaboration among public and private sector partners.
William Skaggs
President
Alamogordo Fire Department
William Skaggs serves as President of NMIAAI and is a fire officer, instructor, fire investigator, and fire inspector with the Alamogordo Fire Department. He is committed to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening the fire investigation profession throughout New Mexico.
John Willgohs
First Vice President
Bernalillo County Fire Department
John Willgohs serves as First Vice President and brings years of experience in fire service operations and fire investigation. He assists with strategic planning, training initiatives, and organizational development.
Greg Whited
Second Vice President
Mesilla Fire Department
Greg Whited serves as Second Vice President of NMIAAI and is a member of the Mesilla Fire Department. In addition to his service at the state level, Greg serves on the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) Board of Directors, providing New Mexico with direct representation within the leading professional organization dedicated to fire investigation.

Dennis Schoen serves as Secretary for NMIAAI and is responsible for maintaining chapter records, meeting documentation, and organizational communications.

Crystal Whited serves as Treasurer and oversees the financial operations of the chapter while supporting educational programs and member services.
